Dr. Neil Rubin

Dr. Neil Rubin has been serving the local community since he graduated from optometry school in 1988. He received a BS in biology at SUNY Albany and graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry, where he stayed on as an associate clinical professor. His post-graduate work included working with children in prominent Long Island developmental vision practices and becoming certified in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Most recently, he became board-certified by the American Board of Optometry to ensure the best care for his patients.
More about Dr. Neil Rubin
Dr. Neil Rubin attends over 30 hours of Continuing Education seminars per year through his affiliation with the American Optometric Association (AOA) and as a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. These classes provide education on up-to-date procedures and technology that continuously reshape “the standard of care” for his patients. He also belongs to the New York State Optometric Association (NYSOA) and the Nassau County Optometric Society.
Dr. Rubin specializes in a range of eye care services, including dry eye treatment, glaucoma management, and cataract evaluations. He also performs diabetic eye exams and provides a report to physicians if requested. He sees patients for eye emergencies and red eyes and prescribes medications when necessary.
On a personal note, most patients don’t know Dr. Rubin has a twin brother. He also has two beautiful children, Justin and Holly. Outside of work, he likes to play golf, exercise, garden, and visit local restaurants. Most importantly, he is focused on providing the highest level of care to those who trust him with their vision.
